My name is Putu Ari Widana. I was born in
Tejakula, 20 February 1993. I was born from a simple family. Since I was a
child, I loved art, such as drawing, carving, and dancing, even though the
results were not perfect. I often draw on the walls of my house because I can't
buy picture books. My parents are very supportive of what I like as long as it
is still a good thing, so when I was in college I took the Fine Arts Education
major at the Ganesha Education University in Singaraja City, Buleleng Regency,
Bali-Indonesia. Only this university is close to home, so I can save more
money. During college I got a scholarship so it really helped me and my family.
In the Fine Arts Education major, I was taught about the basics of art, art
history, drawing shapes, painting, sculpture, design, photography, screen
printing, being taught how to become an art teacher, and so on. I studied for 4
years 6 months and got my Bachelor's degree.
After graduating from college I worked freeland, I took any job I could such as designing for t-shirts, painting paper or canvas. In early 2017 I became interested in becoming a tattoo artist. I have encountered lots of difficulties, challenges and competition and in 2018 I was able to join one of the best tattoo studios called KARMA INK. Working in tattoos, I can also apply my skills to the arts. I often edit and draw to make designs according to customers' wishes. You can see some of my works on my Instagram account "widanaari". Sometimes I draw digitally during free time.
